Problem with droid 2 global

I hope someone can help my wife has a droid 2 g it is only about 2 months old but she is having alot of problems. The phone locks up sometimes,every time she gets a text it said text can not be sent and you can clear it and it keeps coming back. I did a factory reset and it still is doing the same things.
any help would be great thanks
and her phone is up to date

Picture msgs can't be sent over wifi, don't know if thats the case....

You can call Verizon *611, and talk to a tech. If they can't fix the problem, they will send you a replacement phone.

Seriously?? That is really stupid! Now I am pissed. Do other carriers do that?

Uninstall any task killers or antivirus's on the phone, uninstall anything that you installed about the time the phone started having problems..... if that doesnt help then take it to a verizon store and get one of the techs to look at it.

I'm pretty sure this would violate some telecommunications regulation to allow for any text messaging to done over wifi. Same goes for the account management apps from the carriers not allowing secure customer data to be sent over wifi.
