I cant get the recovery to work in command line, permission denied. Do I need I need to use command line more mac centric?

A-Ss-Mac-mini-2:android as$ /Android/recovery-ra-vigor-3.16-gnm.img fastboot reboot-bootloader
-bash: /Android/recovery-ra-vigor-3.16-gnm.img: Permission denied
A-Ss-Mac-mini-2:android as$

Your command line should be more like fastboot flash recovery /Android/recovery-ra-vigor-3.16-gnm.img

I will try that. I am seeing that I may need to use a "./" before the fastboot command?

Also, do I need to have USB debugging turned on?

It all depends on where fastboot is. If it's in the same directory then yes. Also, your phone will need to be in the bootloader so USB debugging on/off won't matter.

I did need to use the ./ bit...
