Is it possible to keep the Droid screen on while running Maps?
Thanks, I'll check it out
or just turn the screen timeout to never
but im for screebl
$2 to enable laziness beats setting-tweaking any day
Screebl's cool, but it won't keep Maps on if your phone is flat, for instance.
This might the easier, more foolproof solution for you: KeepScreen (now free) - Android app on AppBrain
From the description: KeepScreen block screen timeout when predefined applications are active.
Save your battery with short timeout but have great user experience with preselected "no timeout" apps. Usefull for reading mail, browsing, or guide with Google maps.
So yeah, pretty much exactly what you want.
If you're connected to a charger, Settings->Applications->Stay Awake will do the trick. There are apps as well.
