Pre Ordering Verizon Phones

I was just wondering if you pre-order a phone from the Verizon website, do you receive it on launch day?

I just don't want to pre-order if its going to take a couple weeks to get to me.

If you pre-order from Verizon, they generally will ship (Fedex 2nd Day) on the day of release. So, since Verizon releases phones on Thursdays, you should receive the phone on Monday, not "a couple of weeks". That said, there has been many instances where people who have reported pre-ordering phones from Verizon have received shipment notices prior to the day of release, so they have received their shipments on launch day.
