Yesterday we announced the official launch of the new Galaxy Tab 2 lineup from Samsung, and many of us were pleasantly shocked by the new lower prices on these devices. Today we are following up that news piece by sharing that the new Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is already available for pre-order on Amazon for the announced price of $249.99. This is a pretty amazing value for the power you get in this little tab. It proves that Samsung has also "seen the writing on the wall" that was pointed out by the success of the Amazon Kindle Fire, and has adjusted their pricing strategy accordingly. Here's a recap of the specs on this device:
    • 1GHz dual-core processor
    • 1GB of RAM
    • 8GB of internal storage
    • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
    • 3-megapixel rear camera
    • VGA front camera
    • microSD slot (up to 32GB)
    • 4000 mAh battery
    • Wi-Fi connectivity
Just as a reminder, this tab is scheduled to ship on April 22nd, so now is your chance to get a fairly robust Ice Cream Sandwich tab for only $50 bucks more than the Kindle Fire!

Wow, the screenshot makes it look like it's using Vanilla android without any skin. Very interesting. I'm thinking an alternative to the Google tablet maybe?
