Actually, they probably like being one of the crowd. Nobody wants to be different in school.

Move on with your life. Or secretly remove their SIM card and laugh at the mess they have to go through....just to get it replaced.

I found this on Howard Forums at HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource - If the iPhone was available now, would you still have purchased an Android?

The iPhone is simple, user friendly, easy enough that my 6 year old can work it with little instruction. It is also locked down like fort knox in order to ensure that it stays that way. It performs almost flawlessly throughout every function of it's being.

The Moto Droid on the other hand is RAW! It begs to be manipulated and hacked. I would say that the difference really comes down to the sophistication of the user. The iPhone is an automatic transmission sedan. It does what it is intended to do with little user input and complete efficiency. The Droid on the other hand is a manual transmission sports car. You can mod it to death, but in the wrong hands it will end up in the shop every other month or worse yet, wrapped around a tree.

Even the commercials tell the same story. The iPhone appeals to tweens that long to be herded with the masses and pretend to be techno geeks, while the Droid commercial is in your face defiance that speaks to the sophisticated user that wants to make their device one of a kind.

I would leave the camera out of it. Personally I think the iphone does better in low light. Ask them wether they get the newest updates to improve their phones or wait a few weeks hoping that someone jailbreaks the new update so they don't lose their all their customizations from jailbreak. They can't have both. If they update they lose jailbreak and any type of freedom they had from Steve Jobs control. Believe me when I say it sucked when I found that out the hard way. There was an update I really wanted so I got it only to find out I lost everything I had via jailbreak. Each time you can only hope someone is able to break it.

Why did this conversation go past "dude I have the Droid" if iphone were so great why would one have to jailbreak it....? Everytime I show my Droid to an iPhone user most want one.... haven't come across any fan boys obviously...

need some come backs while im in school im the only 1 in my class tht has a droid and 3 others have iPhones they all constantly tell me how
the droid SUCKS

Tell 'em the Droid does Porn.

Period. End of sentence.

Case closed.

(In fact, there's an entire website opening up, that will carry ONLY porn for the Droid! Not that *I* am into it, but I hear that some people, um, enjoy Adult Entertainment.....)

Who says the iPhone doesn't?

Someone I work with picked up my Droid and compared the weight to the iPhone. He said "What the hell is in this thing that weighs so much." I told him a network.

It was the first time I ever saw someone with an iPhone speechless :)
