I was running gengerbread OS and wanted to install Liberty rom onto it. I went threw bootstrapper to install in the reset menue and it had trouble rebooting after installing liberty. took roughly 5 times befor it booted back up fully past the M logo.

When it finally did I tryed out the Liberty tool box and it didn't work so i went back into the bootstrapper to try to install again. However this time it wont boot up past the M logo at all. I can get into the hard reset where It is in a blue font.

I tryed to reinstall Gingerbread but i get a error reading

    Install /sdcard...
    Finding update package...
    opening update package...
    Verifying update package...
    E:failed to verify whole-file signature
    E:signature verification failed
    Installation aborted.

I tried following the steps in these two threads
Now you can live without fear of bricking - Android Forums
    and http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...-using-rsd-lite-flash-sbf-file-correctly.html

did I totally screw my self or is there anyway to get back to stock from the stock hard reset?

Any and all help is greatly apreciated!

Make sure you have the same version of RSD lite that they say you should use, and if you sbf and it bootloops, then go to the stock recovery to wipe data and cache/factory reset!

So... you are at the bootloader, you have the right rsd lite, you have the drivers?

So now all you should need to do is connect the phone to pc, launch rsd lite, and you should see your phone. It SHOULD work...

I just looked at your link. If you do indeed have a droid 2 then you are using the wrong sbf file. That's definitely not the sbf file that puts a d2 back to stock. A955 2.3.20 is the one that u need for the droid 2

Just to be clear the A955 2.3.20 verizon zip is the zip file u need to get back to froyo stock on a droid 2. U do understand that the aforementioned zip puts u on froyo which is the 2.2 android sysyem. Just making sure that u know android version and system verions are two different things.
