Possible to delete IM mobile?

I downloaded advance task killer and out shows IM mobile always running. Can this be uninstalled?

I've heard task killers are no good, but how else can I close the apps? I've tried backing out of them, but they still stay open....

I have not rooted my dinc2. Totally new to droid and afraid of messing up my phone. Dont understand all this gingerbread stuff either lol

Menu,settings,applications,manage apps,running,tap the app to be closed,tap force stop
