I have an original droid. Tonight my friends suggested that my phone was possibly hacked. I hadn't really paid much attention to what was going on, I only thought it was a technical fault. When I try to text on the screen, it will start typing, only n j ; : . ,
It's done other things like scroll back and forth in between pages and go to contacts and open contacts
It's never made phone calls or sent texts
A lot of times it opens the browser and go to web pages.
It will open a lot of other programs and not let me control the phone

This will stop for hours at a time and when it happens, it will happen anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 or 5 minutes
Turning my phone on and off will stop it.

Is this a hack? Or a technical problem?
And what are things I can do about this?

Doubt its been hacked. Any recent new apps??
One thing to try is a factory data reset. Its extreme, but if it persists after that its a problem with the phone.

    end of line...

I recently downloaded an airhockey app, and did an upgrade. I didn't think it was a hack until they started going into my emails and going to links, and going onto wikipedia and looking up '****' (literally) in german.

Its where you hook your phone to the computer and wipe the whole phone and reinstall the android OS. Its like taking it out of the box brand new. You will still keep everything on the SD card though
