Possible good news for those looking to tether

I attempted this process with the G2 this morning. I got all the way to the final step and upon clicking the little wrench icon, an option to tether was not available. So, the Xoom and the G2 remained paired but not connected. *insert vulgarity here*

I have a rooted D1 running Cyanogen 7, I'm using the Wireless Tether app to connect via Bluetooth to the WIFI only Xoom. It works quite well, if you find your phone and Xoom are paired not connected and there is no profile when you select the wrench, try un-pairing and pair again. That's what worked for me.

No surprise, but this did not work with the Droid Charge.
