UREKA. Could it be this easy?

I made ONE change only last night, and it seems to have made all the difference in the world.

I switched from ondemand to interactive governor.

    Pushing 10 hours and I'm at 70%.

Always thought ondemand was more conservative? Can someone explain differences in working man terms? :)

I don't know if this would have anything to do with it, but I noticed that my battery was draining faster after I applied the data hack.

Really? That would be incredible if so. Someone needs to explain it better. I heard that Interactive was worse for battery life.

I to switched from ondemand to interactive. I don't know the difference between the two but I would say interactive helps my battery. What kernel are you using?

The stock Slayher kernel that came with PE 4.1. I'm switching it over to Interactive and I'll see which is better. :D

Def still better than before with "ondemand" governor, however not as good as I originally thought.

I just got a little over 15 hours on one charge, however I had the 50% to 20% drop this afternoon.

I love the interactive governor. I get the same or better battery times & it's snappier.

I have been able to get 27-32 hours consistently with both interactive and ondemand. I have screenshots on my phone of this.

Where PE is concerned, when I have lost abnormal amounts of battery over time I have been able to connect that directly to apps I had installed.

Not sure about this being a solution, unless its individual results. I've had it set to interactive since installing 4.0, thought it came standard like that (I knew I could change it, but I wanted to see the difference in onDemand, which is what I used before). My battery drops when I do a reboot. Sometimes 70-40 or 50-20. No throttle hack applied, and apps that I know drain my battery I keep off/killed. And my battery is just over a year old (Nov 09), with the stock slayher 1100 kernel.

I thought the 50 to 20 drop might be fixed with a new battery so I bought one thirds weekend but still had the problem. It's also not the ROM, of you search different forums you'll see the same issue. I don't even think it's a real drop because once out gets down to 5% my battery can run for hours. I wish someone could figure this out
because I'm set up for certain functions (like data transfer) to stop at 5%.

To me, that's great to hear. I thought it was the fact that I was rooted / ROM / certain kernel. If it's all phones, no matter what you're running, then it sounds like its a Google problem.

For me, the battery life issue was resolved reflashing the ROM without the data throttling hack
It wasn't doing anything for me anyway. Got almost 18 hours yesterday with moderate usage
