I am really not happy with my Droid 1 since the update to 2.2. The phone gets laggy, goes blank when I try to go back to my home screen, FCs, etc. Before the update, I usually had about 100 m of ram, now I have an average of 35. I know this from constantly using task killer.

What should I do? I have another year left on my contract with Verizon. I don't think I'll be able to take this problem that long. Factory reset?

One thing you should do is remove the task killer. This isn't windows:)

With the software updates in Android 2.2 all task killers do is work against your O/S - Uninstall it and do a factory reset, you should see a dramatic increase in battery and overall performance -

Wow! I got rid of ATK and things are much improved. Thanks for the advice.

I was at the Verizon store yesterday; what I don't understand is that all the new demonstration Droids had ATK loaded on them.
