Poor battery life in cm7

I absolutely love cm7 but my battery life is horrible compared to other roms I've used. My battery last about 9 hours now with normal use as opposed to at least 24 hours with other roms. Anyone else having this issue and what are ways that I can improve battery life? I'm using droid overclock profiles, ultimatejuice defender, and I've applied the imoseyon tweaks also. I don't know what else to do.

CM7 still uses the Froyo kernel, which is probably the problem.

My phone is just the opposite. CM7 has the best battery life of any ROM I have run yet.
