I was wondering if we could star compiling a list of what png files control what part of the phone, so all the new up and coming themers, such as myself, can learn.

    for example:

status_bar_background.png <-- Controls the background of the pulldown bar

status_bar_close_on.9.png <-- Controls the bottom bar to put the pulldown bar up

So if you know of and .png files and what they control, please post them and hopefully we can compile a nice list for everyone. THANKS! dancedroid

There was a themers guide linked either here or xda I believe with different documents from some of the usual suspects in the theming community. It may have what you are looking for. It is still in development.

The theming guide deals with mostly .xml edits although it is a great help - here is a copy

I have been thinking all of the great info out there should be put together in one easy to find thread (or even its own site). I have personaly come across several guides - I like to copy/paste into a word document for easy access.
The task of gathering, organizing and packaging all this info may be as time consuming as theming itself LOL
