PLZ HELP MEE. new update took out standard apps

    i got the new update. When it started up, i noticed that the desktop shortcuts to Gallery, Messaging, and Maps were the "shortcut not specified" icons. Gallery was in my list of apps, but messaging and maps were GONE! i went thru settings>applications>manage applications>(filter all)> and messaging and maps were nowhere to be seen. When i press the icons on desktop, it says "Application not installed on your phone."

    The new 2.1 update includes newer versions of these programs as part of the OS.

    delete your existing shortcuts from homescreens (long press, drag to app tray tab which will turn into trash can) and replace them with versions from the app tray (long press, drag onto homescreen).
