pls help..

    ok so i have rooted my moto droid.. pretty good for a noob =-)
    tutorials here are very easy to follow..

    now im trying to install the 2.1 firmware.. heres where the problem lies..
    ive installed the droidroothelper and the droidhelper.apk.. i have found them in astrofile as seen here.. 1st pic

    when i click on the droidroothelper.apk file, however, and open with app manager.. this is the screen i get.. 2nd pic

    can anyone help? thank u to anyone that has attempted to help a noob like myself (Z UR THE BEST!!).. i just cant seem to get it right..

    Make sure you have "Unknown sources" checked under Settings > Applications.

    You can always use adb install.

    adb install C:\path\to\Droidroothelper.apk

    Did you try using adb install?

    here is where my "noobness" is evident... what is an abd install berzerker?
    ive seen "abd" here b ut no idea what it is.. =-/

    My suggestion is to uninstall droidroothelper, download it again directly to your phone, change the extension to apk again, and reinstall it.

    hey jhank.. thank u for ur quick response.. tried to dl directly to phone.. got the msg

    "<unknown>
    alldroid.org
    cannot download. the content is not supported on this phone"
