    Rooting doesn't erase anything. Are you wanting to check to make sure you are rooted?

    Download Android Terminal Emulator from the market, fire it up and type su to see if you get the # symbol.

    first a little box pops up and say if i should allow or deny , then i pressed allow which showed the # symbol on the blue screen.

    is my droid rooted?

    If it's asking for permission, you're rooted. You should also see the Superuser ninja icon there.

    Yeah.....if you get the # in terminal emulator and got the ninja icon in you app tray you are rooted and ready to roll.

    thanks guys. my objective was to install the smoked glass theme or BB and kick up the speed on my droid. what are the steps on going about this installing it with ROM manager.

    It's pretty straight forward. Pick a ROM, I think BB has smoked glass already, then pick a kernel and done. For speed increase I suggest getting SetCPU from the market.

    so basically when i pick a ROM i just repeat what i did at the end right? and the kernel? after i pick which kernel i want , whats next? sorry i'm a newb at this lol
