Take the battery, SD card and everything else out. Put it in a bowl of rice overnight.

DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON!

We did this with my mom's LG Ally when it fell in the toilet and it works fine...

You likely shorted it out if you tried to turn it on.

Go ahead and try the rice thing...worse case you will just be at the same place you are now.

You have insurance?

On a side note, Rangers lead the way :)

Maybe hang up before taking the wizz next time :).

If you turned it on then you might have fried it already. Water + electricity = not good.

Turning it on is the worst thing you can do. The water will cause circuits to cross, the ones that aren't supposed to. Rice or desiccant will dry out the moisture but the damage is done. If you have insurance, then just do that. Don't waste time trying to fix it.

One other suggestion, take the battery, both cards and phone and place them on your cable box for 24 hrs. This is usually enough heat to dry it out without cooking it. The rice may also work. I've dropped phones in the toilet, a large glass of Iced tea and opened my sunroof with a puddle on it while working on my laptop. The cable box trick worked for me each time. Try to resist the urge to turn it back on for as long as you can. Good luck.
