Please help fast

My phone all of a sudden it says "no service" and the airplane is not checked, done a battery pull and everthing seems to be ok, what could this be. I don't want verizon to do a hard reset

You can do a factory reset yourself without having to take it into Verizon.

this is the samsung fascinate. it's my gf's phone. I don't want a factory reset, there is software on the phone that cannot be deleted

If you said you restarted and everything is back to normal, give it some time. It could be fixed with a reboot.

I'll move it back then, your device info said the X and I didn't see any mention it was your gf's phone.
