    Sexy.... switching to Dolphin.

It actually lets you zoom much closer than the stock browser.

Nope, not for mine, there's a little icon in the bottom right corner though. It might turn that feature on/off. Just a guess.

Didn't set mine to default either, just worked.

    Maybe uninstall and reinstall.

ok i figured it out. it turns out the websites i was going to were the mobile versions of the website which is designed for mobile browsing. when i went to a site that wasnt the mobile version, the pinch and zoom worked. also, i really like the tabs!

Pinch zoom only works in incrementslike + - zoom. It needs fully smooth zooming not incremental zooming. It also needs to work better with auto text reformat by not moving away from the pinched area and smoothing out the text resizing transition. Won't use until those two things are fixed. Just a cool trick for now without good useability

exactly, the whole point of pinch zoom is to be able to fine-tune the amount you want to zoom in!

I found the browser really didn't play well with GDE home... went from 95% stable to about 30% stable with Dolphin running. Uninstalled Dolphin and no issues. Had it before and last time I uninstalled it, it was really lagging my system as well. Too bad, i'll stick with stock browser and double-tap for now.

There is a Lite version of xScope released today for free. Search xScope. New way of zooming: 'pin zoom', where you tap first and then quickly touch the screen again but not releasing it. Then sweep your finger right to zoom in and left to zoom out.

    XScope

Downloaded and played with it. Much better than Dolphin when it comes to multi-touch zooming. But very very buggy and not user friendly.

When I went to a site the keyboard wouldnt go away unless I changed to landscape mode.
