This is a tutorial on how to pimp your droid!!!!!(note this theme is for 2.1)

First off download and install metamorph from the market place.

Next download this theme and place it to your android themes on your SD card: http://alldroid.org/download/file.php?id=1069

Unmount your sd card and open metamorph. In metamorph select the theme.
It may take up to 5 minutes for metamorph to unzip the file but sit tight!
(Note: it is important to mount your sd card or metamorph will refuse to run!)

Next download beautiful widgets from the market place (note please do not steal by using websites that host free versions!)

Now replace your boot animation. this can be done by downloading this: http://droidboots.com/http//droidboots.com/downloads/bootanimations/nexus.zip

    Now rename it to bootanimation.zip

    Then in adb shell type
    Code:
    su
    cd /sdcard
    cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local/bootanimation.zip
    reboot.

    How to get metamorph
1 Open android market on you Droid

    2 Search Metamorph

    2 Download Metamorph

Metamorph not working? In adb type

    Code:
    su
    ln -s /system/bin/busybox /system/bin/cp
Accessing ADB shell on a mac
    1 Open terminal

2 Type cd and then drag your folder called tools from the Android SDK and hit enter

    3 Type
    Code:
    ./adb shell
4 You have now open adb!

    Accessing ADB shell on windows

    1 Open CMD.exe

2 Cd to your tools folder (you must find and type your exact adress to your tools folder!)

3 Type your commands begging with adb

    4 Finish!

    Okay.
    1. This is not a good tutorial.
    2. Where is the diversity? Everyone would have the exact same Droid.
    3. The method you gave for bootanimation requires root access but is not talked about at all. But there is a way to do it without root.

Sorry to be harsh I like the effort.

Metamorph won't initialize. It starts up, goes to load up some files, then says something to effect of "not enough space in /system or busy box isn't installed." Iknow busy box is installed. How do I fix this?

It may be the location of busybox. What i use is droid root helper download that apk to your droid and use that to install busybox. its very straight forward.
    First open droid root helper
    Second click mount system read/write
Third Click on install and chmod busybox and TADA!!!!

Note: I have included droid root helper as a attachment in my tutorial.

In astro or any type of file explorer check to see if busybox is installed in /system/xbin.

    It is.
I think it has to do with the amount of available memory.

One thing I would add is links to other topics on this forum to things like, how to root, using adb, how to install busybox if needed, how to install metamorph if needed, things like that. =) Also let people know that if they want to change just the bootanimation they dont need to have root and how to do it if they dont. :)

    On Windows:
Boot Animation WITHOUT ROOT, but assuming you know basic knowledge of ADB:
    1. Grab your BA and drop it in your ADB Tools folder, wherever it may be.
    2. Open cmd.exe(type cmd in run if your on xp, on Vista and 7 type cmd in search)
    3. cd to your ADB Tools folder. (example: my path is cd c:\adb\tools, yours is probably different)
    4. Type "adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local"
    5. Type "adb reboot" to reboot your phone.
    6. Enjoy your new BA.
