pics in email

Does anyone know why when I receive an email though gmail any pics included in the message will not be displayed? They are not attachments they are included in the message. All I get is a square with a ? Inside it. Thanks

Unfortunately this is a gmail mobile issue. Dates back to the G1. Many have posted this issue on the android OS bug report forum so hopefully it will get fixed. As you said, it only occurs with images placed in the body of the email.

Thanks. Today I received an email from a newsletter and all the pics in the email body were displayed. Than I received an email from a friend through yahoo and the body pics were not displayed. Again just the squares and ? marks. Why would the newsletter pics show but the yahoo didn't? Hopefully google will get that straightened out.
