Not sure why there not showing up in gallery, but you can go to /sdcard/DCIM/camera and the pictures should be there.

I also had this problem with pictures not showing up in Gallery even though the files are in the /sdcard/DCIM/camera directory. I installed QuickPic (free in the Market). It doesn't have the problem and is much faster than Gallery.

Reboots don't fix it. New pictures still don't appear in the Gallery.

No. Picture files are in the same directory as other, older pictures that do appear in Gallery. I think this is a Gallery bug. My daughter has a Droid 2 that also has the problem. The app QuickPic finds all pictures from the time I take them with the camera.

Happens to me all the time. I think it's the voltage level of the kernel. I discovered when I go from ulv to mv, the problem subsides.

It will also prevent you from uploading pics to Facebook of you snap it and try to upload right away. It's as if the Droid forgets about it during mid upload.

But the pics are still in the SD card.

I've opened two other threads about this before and it gets ignored or they come back and say it's in my head... since I'm very old, I tend to believe them.
