phonemypc vs logmein?

I use it to watch my kids internet activity on the downstairs computer and their laptops. Ive busted my step-son talking about illegal activity on facebook.

Haha yea it's a good 'spy' tools also. Wish it didnt show in the task bar tho, be more secretive. As for your kid talking about illegal stuff, hope it wasn't crack!

Heya, you know there's an option to hide the taskbar icon, right? It's one of the two check boxes on the main screen!

And here's my +1 for PMPC. It's going to be one hell of an awesome app when they get login figured out. That's the security feature I'm missing atm but I'm sure they're workin on it! \m/

yep I made sure to check or uncheck (whichever) the box so that it wont show up in the task bar.

It sort of went like this. "hey son, let me borrow your laptop for a sec" ~dad installs phonemypc~ "here you go, thanks" rinse and repeat with my daughters.

Are you sure that RDP from xtralogic is unstable?
xtralogic one is very stable

I have been using phonemypc and xtralogic and they are just different.

Smooth
Fast with 3G.(But almost same speed even used with wifi)
Stable even with bad internet speed
Full control of PC
Custom resolution(you can make your screen to fit your Droid)
Trackpad control(can scroll as track pad)
Can log on computer


Con
It does not run with Window basic series
Need to set fire wall
Need to know IP address
Really consumes battery
Can not watch video smoothly

PhonemyPC
Pro
Really Fast with Wifi(Even can watch video)
Easy install.
Do not have to log in
Do not need to know IP address
You will get better battery life than surfing with browser in Droid

Con
Slow when computer is slow
With 3G, it is not smooth and sometimes command does not get to the computer
Hard to set perfet fit resolution for Droid
Can not log on computer

Remote RDP
Do not buy this if you have Droid. It is not designed to be used in Droid.


If you use xtralogic you are going to feel like you loaded computer on your phone

If you use phonemypc, you are going to feel like you are controling computer.

I love both I use both on my two computers each. And Phonemypc is still beta so I think it is not fare to compare two programs now.
