phone won't stay charging

OK my gf has a galaxy and while it is physically connected to the charger it constantly stops charging and won't go above 52% we've tried multiple charging cords and wrapping the cord around the phone to keep it positioned properly what is the problem

Have you used the original charger and cable? If it runs down does it still charge to 52%? It could be a calibration issue.

Have you looked for dirt or bent pins at the plug in? What happens when wirelessly charged?

Not all micro USB cables are the same gauge wire - I was going to report this finding before -

Where it won't even connect to the Kies App - w/o the original cable.
Drove me nuts for days.

The shorter the better.
The clue was using the original charger that comes with & Jambox cable -
and seeing the report on the screen saying - use the original charger.
