phone wont power down while charging

Im a motorola droid owner (newbie) and I try to turn my phone off at night in order to charge it but when I plug the charger in, it turns the phone back on...any advice or help?

Nope, phone has to be on to charge. Just one of those things.

The Droid needs to be on while charging. If by chance you have it off when you plug it in it will turn on. I would recommend going to airplane or silent mode if the constant barrage of messages bothers you. There is an app that will silence them as well plus there might also be a setting to disable notifications during certain hours. Have fun with your Droid! It soon will be your drug of choice.

Yea I just turn airplane mode on and it charges a lot quicker, also keeps people from calling you at 3 in the morning lol
