Here's a new one that just started happening a few days ago.. As the first phone that will hold a charfge all day for me, the Maxx has been great. But a few days ago, when I go to bed and put on the wall charger as I do every night, it won't charge or even know it's plugged in. Changed chargers, tried USB in the computer, etc, but nothing. Upon shutting it down and then plugging it in, it then started charging. Last night I did that and it restarted (booted up) and charged, but I shouldn't have to do that.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?

Wow.. I've got nothing here.. I'd try a factory data reset.. See uf that fixes the issue.. If not.. Call and request a clnr(assuming you got it from vzw)

I went right to fdr so you can seeright away if you have a software issue orif you need a new device..

Use a toothpick and clean out the USB port. Then flush with rubbing alcohol, let dry 10 mins. Battery out is a must during this procedure.

You can't remove the droid maxx's battery unless you take the device apart.

I've been having this exact issue as well. I also find that just plain restarting it allows it to recognize the usb charger (and I've experienced this with a variety of chargers).
