A coworker has the X and it will not boot past the M. We tried home and power to try and get into recovery, to no avail. He was able to get it into the bootloader screen, but there was no way to select any of the options on the screen. The search I did on Google said to press the X key...well, what the heck is the X key???

Try turning it off, then hold power, volume up and down, camera button, and the home button.

This should get you into recovery :)

To get into recovery, hold the power and home button while it boots. Then when you get to a little Android, press the volume buttons in.

To get into boot loader, hold the power, volume down and camera button. Then you can sbf using rsd lite or the Linux sbf cd

Holding the power and the X key is how the Droid2 boots into recovery.

But what IS the X key? Lol
His phone is toast then, because it's not doing ANYTHING

The x key is how the DROID2 gets into recovery. When you slide out the keyboard, its the x button. The DROIDX doesn't have a physical keyboard, so it doesn't have an x button.
