Hello, I tried searching for similar topics...however, the app crashes when I do.

Anyways, since I rooted my moto droid 1....

My problem is that if I reboot my phone, it reboots a bunch of times trying to mount the sd card till its finally successful.

Or if I mount it after connecting to laptop..

Any tips? How do I stop from resetting?

    I'm a rooting noob :p

Sounds like a corrupt card (or info on the card). Power down the phone, and put the card in your computer. Back up everything from your card to the computer. Format the card (FAT32), put it back in your phone and try to power the phone up. If the phone still reboots, I'd try another card. If it boots fine, try to put everything back on your card, and see if you reboot again. Its a starting point to determine if its physical or data.

    So if I understand correctly...

If it percists without the data+format = card problem

    If not, then data problem?

    Yes, basically.

Another option, and my first suggestion, is to pull the card out and reseat it and try booting it again before you format it. That way you might not have to format. :)

Also, when it's out, use a toothbrush gently on the contacts. They occasionally get dirty or something and you can't exactly get said brush in to clean the contacts inside the phone. ;)

I used to have that problem with AdamZ and Pete's earlier stuff way back when we were on 2.0.1. Try what furman posted above, and if that doesn't work try a different rom?

    good luck
