Phone does not detect USB at Bootloader

I am trying to sbf my phone, since I made the terrible mistake of wiping /system then rebooting. However, when I open the bootloader (pressing home and the power button), the bootloader does not recognize that it is is plugged in to USB! This leads me to being unable to sbf as needed.

Has anyone seen this before?
