I started to download the ics update this morning, and the message said it shouldnt take longer than 10 minutes. It powered back on and said that it was updating my media, but after 45 minutes of my phone saying that, it died. Now none of my media like pictures or music files will even load. I have no clue how to fix this.

Unfortunately, you will need to perform a factory reset. Move all pics and music to ext sd card. Backup app data if needed.

Pull the sd card out of your phone.
Charge or put a fresh battery in & than power it back up.
It should start where it left off.
By pulling the Sd card out you stop the updater from indexing all of the media stuff & it will complete the update much quicker.
Than you can put the SD card back in.

Similar thing happened to a few during the soak test & there were a lot of complaints about how long it was taking to update & it was due to a lot of music & photos on the sd card.
This was the recommended procedure from Motorola.
