Okay, hope I can explain this right. First it JUST started today. Was outside, made a phone call, company is one where it says press 1 for yes 2 for no, etc. Well pulled the phone away from my face and the screen remained black. Happened with a second call, was ready to hang up, couldn't hang up, screen black.

I tried to search here for solutions and couldn't find any. Ideas appreciated.

Mine does that. I usually just hit the power button, and it will light back up.

Do you have a screen protector or case installed that is blocking the proximity sensor? The screen should turn on as soon as the phone is away from your face, unless something is blocking the proximity sensor.

Nope, no screen protector or case on. It started today when I was outside, in the sun. Very weird.

I just installed True Phone Dialer and Contacts. Tested and the screen does come on after removing from ear. Fixed :) Don't know why stock isn't working.

Glad it worked out for you. I'll have to give true phone a whirl. Not that crazy about the stock dialer

If you do try True Phone & Contacts and you don't mind post what you think of it and if one does not like it can you go back to stock one easy.
