Phone as home page

    Is there any way to make the phone ap dial pad a permanent screen, e.g. always open? Thanks in advance

    Not sure if that is possible, but wouldn't you run the risk of constantly dialing numbers by accident if you did accomplish this?

    well, I would put on one of the screens adjacent to the home page. I have old school speed dialer, so it works more like a phone phone.

    I love the droid, but I find it greatly inferior to my moto 710 as a phone. But I'm just old and cranky.

    Well only thing I could think of is get dialer@bar from the market, it puts a phone icon in the status bar so no matter what screen your on you can easily access the dialpad.. other then that, Im not sure..

    I just installed Helix Launcher, and it has the phone icon on every screen. Gives you one touch access to the phone from any screen, and does not take up any real estate which would be the case if the whole dialpad was on a home screen. Even better in my opinion.
