A lot of very nice screen shots. I'm able to use minimal text and desktop visualizar to create the clean text icons. I've not been able to figure out how to get the clean text icons in the bottom (launcher) part of the phone.

Would someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for the guidance.

For most of them, the text icons are probably part of the dock.

Some examples: Dropbox - Photos - Online backup, file sync, and sharing made easy.

Thanks Spoooon, so if I dl one of those I can swap the dock. Do I need launcher pro plus for that?

You can do it with regular Launcher Pro, I'm pretty sure. Choose one of those docks, then when you make your shortcuts, put a transparent icon on top of the appropriate word. Not sure if that makes sense. :)

Yes it does. What I was hoping to do was go to one screen then replace all of the + signs in the dock with apps and just "spin" through the dock. I'll get there

To get the effect that you want, you'd need to make your icons with the text sitting right on the bottom of the image.

The icon is above this text.

    Hope that helps. :)

edit: So you can make individual icons for each shortcut you want, with the text sitting right on the bottom of the of 72x72 square.

edit2: BTW, using ADW, so not sure how low the icon will sit using LauncherPro.

It all depends on whether you want your clean text icons to span more than one icon slot in the dock or not. If you do want them to span more than one icon slot, then you will have to use the method that "spoooon" mentioned above by relying on your Dock Background to give you the clean text and then use the transparent icon for the multiple icon slots the word takes up making sure that both slots are set to launch the same shortcut.

Otherwise if you are just looking to have clean text icons for each icon slot in the dock, you can use a transparent or solid color Dock Background and then you can just simply use some clean text icons. I'm sure there are multiple clean text icon sets floating around, but a few of the screenshots in this thread appear to be using Manup's Simple Word Icons which can be found at this link by choosing "Minimal Text Clean" or "Minimal Text Dirty" depending on if you need black or white text
[Collection] ICON SETS | OVER *300* different Icon Packs [INDEX on 2nd post] - xda-developers

Long pressing the icon slot in the dock gives you the option to change the icon to a custom icon. To change the Dock Background in Launcher Pro you go to Preferences > Appearance Settings > Dock Background.

Ive never done the span multiple icon slot personally, but it made sense from what "spoooon" said above. Hope this helps and made sense.

EDIT: This just crossed my mind.....you said "and just "spin" through the dock". If that is the case you are not going to be able to rely on the Dock Background option because it will stay the same when you are "spinning" through the set of docks.

Saw something at XDA I liked, based on that (or directly copied in some ways). :)

I can't help but notice how most don't use their homescreen for more than a clock and/or weather and/or battery display. My main homescreen used to be exactly the same. Now I prefer having useable widgets with some icons.

I use ADW EX w/ animation #4(fly in/out...I like #6(flip) too.) for switching screens. Icon size, I think, is set at 115 so they're larger but don't take over the icon background.

I can't express how much I love this ROM! For my first PE ROM, boy is this a treat! I stuck with ShadowRom until Pete's stable GPA series came out, and now PE5. I know ShadowRom no longer exists but I do sorely miss the lockscreen being completely transparent w/o the round buttons. Was really nice to show off the background and leave others clueless how to get into the phone. I'll have to post this in a "suggestions" thread if there is one yet.

This ROM is amazing and I'm ecstatic I have a brand new Droid all over again! My wife thinks I'm crazy but her not "getting it" is truly crazy!
