This is very true. In my personal opinion I think Sapphire and Ultimate Droid are surely the best I have ever tested. Bugless Beast is a bit bland and choppy, so if 5 comes out I would hope more is put into it. I have never tested Insanely Clean though. Maybe I should get on that....

Well Petes v.4 is outdated. Its been almost 2 months and since then lots of new good Roms came out. Its worth trying them out. dancedroid

There have been multiple times on Pete's releases that others have worried they had been forgotten. Be patient, he will come through, I am currently loving sapphire, but will be giving 0.5 a try when it gets here. I would much rather everyone put in lots of time to make things right than to pump it out as fast as possible.

I dont think he forgot but his range of phones went beyond droid so I would say its not so much he forgot as we went down the list of priority. it is funny that it was the droid users that got him the droid x, which is what caused the droid to be lower on the list lol. that being said, pete has done more then his share and earned every penny donated and tons of respect. he could say hes done doing roms for the droid all together and I wouldn't hold it against him. Insane is right, there are some other great roms out there. I personally am enjoying sapphire. its a very stable and clean rom. I look forward to V0.5 but if it never comes you will hear no *****ing from me...

He has moved on to other platforms. He is building for them and has forgotten about us.
A new UD is supposed to be released any minute and Saphire is as stable as they come!

    Oh well.

I don't think he moved on completely to other phones but has definitely put more time in other phones. I hope he can keep developing for us original Droid users but in the meantime try out sapphire... it really is as stable as it gets.

He has a life outside of bugless beast for droid owners

Yeah I ran v0.4 until SS4.6 came out, which hands down blows v0.4 away in customization options built into the ROM itself and it is fast like v0.4. But probably the most important thing that made me switch is the fact the Chevy can devote more time to support his ROMS. That is not saying that SS4.6 is perfect, because no ROM is.

But based on what I've seen in tweets from Pete, he is not only working on a ROM for the Droid X but he is also working on one for the Samsung Galaxy S, which his mother owns.

I would recommend other ROMS, but I only have experience using the two listed above.
