I have some apps that just keep persistantly restarting, like pandora, maps, yahoo mail, gmail, and a couple more I can't think of right off the top of my head. Is there a way to get them to stop restarting?

Thanks, this is the only rom I've had a problem with them restarting on me. They take a noticable toll on my resources.

Most of these you can 'hide' via my tools also - same as TB freezing

Maybe you should refresh your memory with SSX on your DX :)

So I figured it out. The apps that kept restarting are the ones that came with the rom in the system/apps folder. I used to chevy tools to hide them and then reinstalled them from the market and vuala, they don't keep restarting on their own any more. Sweetness!

So apps in the system folder are auto started more often than other apps? If so, does this mean I could move apps I use regularly into the system folder and have things run a bit smoother?

The only thing I need to run smoother is the built-in browser. It gets bogged down ridiculously just at random times. Like looking at simply yahoo fantasy pages, it gets really laggy and can get unresponsive for like 10 seconds. No flash installed, ads are blocked, so I don't know what's causing it.

I got excited when I heard about that new Firefox browser that was suppose to be better and faster, but that thing is a joke and Mozilla developers should just give up on it. What a disappointment, especially since they talked it up to be amazing. Sometimes the stock browser will just close itself out and kick me to the homescreen...happens very rarely though, but has happened multiple times.

I had similar problems with the browser on another rom and it turned out to be a kernal problem. I had to move to a lv from a ulv.
