permission denied in adb shell

    I am tryign to install sholes rom and am usign adb to do the push step tp push the recovey pver and in adb shell when i try:

    adb push recovery-0.99.2b.img /sdcard/

    it says permission denied. Also if i put su in front of it it also says permission denied

    on your phone a su permission box will pop up right after doing the su command. you have to allow.
    i f it doesnt then you might not be properly rooted?

    ok that works but now when i try:

    adb push recovery-0.99.2b.img /sdcard

    it says adb not found...

    I believe you would have to have the new recovery image in the same folder as your adb. For me that is c:\android\tools I don't know where your's is. You can also just drag and drop the recovery image and flashimage to your sdcard. You don't have to adb push it.

    i just draggeed them to the sd card am am tryign to use adb to install them now but when i try to get into adb shell it returns:

    no device found

    i was dunb and forgot to put usb debugging.... I figured it all out and ma now installing sholes rom!!! wish me luck...i hope it works lol

    When you select options on Sholes ROM I suggest not installing compcache. My Droid is about a million times better without it.

    Are you sure you rooted right? "Permission Denied" simply means that you do not have sufficient privileges to access the DROID's filesystem.

    i def rooted properly i have it all working now and am running sholes!

    I turned comanche off from the start and have not had any problems yetand its super fast

    great...have you tried wifi tether yet? it is sweet

    Wifi tether is amazing. Heh, they make it so difficult even with that one-click thing, but Sholes has it preinstalled. It's the best. :icon_ banana:
