I would like to know this as well.
Are you using any specific settings on Ultimate Juice/Juice Defender?
I have a friend with a 12 year old daughter that sent 11000 texts one month. They have an unlimited text plan (he's on AT&T) so it didn't cost them any extra, but... 11K in ONE MONTH? Had I not seen the bill myself I would not have believed it.
20-22hrs of battery life is not the greatest?! that sounds exceptional to me. 0_0
on a stock 2.1 with just launcherpro and not many apps at all(3 screens), i was getting about 10 hours with 1-2 hours talk, 100 or so texts, and 1 hour or so browsing. rest it was in my pocket and would be almost dead when i got home. wasnt heavy using it at all.
went to my current build(in sig) and I'm quite heavy with it now. full charge at 6:02am. tried out 9 different kernels today(rebooting and backups), 132 texts, 12 pics, 4 vids messages. over 2 hours browsing for info on water pipes(damn pipe is leaking in basement ) and it is now 1:26am. i have 58% left. oh also, 40 mins trying out tethering on my laptop in the woods.
i run advanced task killer, set cpu(1200-250), 100% screen, 5 min email push, Fancy Widget and Engadget widget. i feel that this is great battery life. hell, on the stock BBv0.4 i didnt charge my phone for 3 days.
everyone staying away from min of 125?
how many of you that use setcpu run conservative or powersave as a profile?
I cant help myself but want to try and tweak something each and every day. I cant post up yet because I am still playing catch up on some manga's and that never seems to fail me on how fast your battery can drain when you kill thru 10 chapters of a manga with 0% for brightness on wifi
lowest i can get my droid down to is 250. then again, i'm a noob and only been rooted for 4 days dancedroid
Some kernels don't go down to 125.
I too would like to know about BB's kernel adjuster. If anyone with any insight or specifics can chime in. Does the ROM throttle the max CPU down when the screen is off? I'd love to not use SetCPU if I don't have to.
BTW I'm running BB v0.4 with Chevy's LV 1 Ghz Kernel.
I had no problems with 125, but some people do. I opted instead for an ULV kernel.
I run conservative as a setCPU profile for the overheating profile.
The "stock" governor in 0.4 is basically the same as "250-<max kernel speed> on demand" setCPU profile, and on all the time.
It SHOCKS me that not person mentions screebl in this thread.
