Would there be a difference in quality streaming Pandora in 3G versus 4G? If there would be no difference then I could save battery drain via 3G. Since Pandora used to work fine on my OG, thought it might not matter.

Probably use less battery on 3g. Quality should be the same

Streamed Pandora during my whole round of golf today. 4.5 hrs on 3G and still had battery to spare. Can't compare with it on 4G since it's not available in my area, but quality was perfect.

Nice. That's good to know. Thanks for posting. Regular or extended battery?

I highly doubt that Pandora has a "high quality" option for 4G. Google music on the other hand...I have issues streaming "high quality" on 3G, but 4G is solid...kills the battery though. I've been streaming it now as I type this for the past 45-60 min while I browse the forums in tapatalk. I dropped from ~35% to 9% in that amount of time. My screen is probably hogging a lot of juice though.
