Wow, sounds like your phone is just not cooperating. Odd that after fastbooting you couldn't root. I have been really messing with my phone and experimenting and have fastbooted back to 744 like three times now and root has not been an issue. I have had my rough moments but in the end i have been able to recover fully.

So true. Well it's finally fully functional and updated to .173 but I don't have root so I can either wait for someone to root the upgrade or SBF back to .744 and try again. Have to give that some thought.
