Original Droid Sometimes Dials Different Number than Selected

It's intermittent but, fairly often, when I select a number to be called (from my call log), it will dial a totally different number. At first I thought it was just me being too fast for the phone as it takes a moment to update the call log once a call has been placed but, that's not what's happening now.

Today, I selected a number from the call log to call. It dialed a number which is nowhere to be seen in the log. Wasn't a saved contact, either. I don't get it. It's frustrating as well.

Anyone seeing this?

I've had this happen maybe two or three times since I got my droid. I will click a contact to call from my call log and it will call another person on my contacts list, not some random number. This also has happened with my text messages. Again this has only happened two or three times in the past year. No advice on what to do about it though, sorry.

It happens once or twice a month for me. However, I use my phone quite a bit.
