Oreo coming to Nokia 3, 5, 6, and 8

    The recent Nokia-branded phones from HMD Global have been pretty popular. The goal of a near-stock Android ROM with quick updates has also caused Android enthusiasts to take notice, especially as many budget phones don't receive major updates at all. Last week, Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, tweeted earlier today that the entire Nokia lineup will receive Oreo.

    I think that's one of the many benefits to running stock / near stock Android, manufacturers like this can update faster than some of the big names.

    For? I think they had more phones on Nougat than any other manufacturer

    Admittedly Moto has gotten better with their new phones. But this is a household with an OG Turbo that didn't get Marshmallow until loooong after Nougat was a thing. And an MXPE that is still waiting for its promised Nougat. :rolleyes:

    guess it depends on the older phones and if the manufacturer wants to test it for those phones.

    You would have to check with your specific phone manufacturer to find out if they plan on releasing Oreo to your phone model.
