Ordered a note 2 for my wife today and a bad experience turned out good

    Waiting on my wifes note2 to arrive at cartoys today or tommorow for her christmas present and for me to see if its not to big to have at work. So ill tell you all how i came to buy
    from a different seller then Verizon. I was at the verizon store and wasnt treated very kind probably because i was weaing jeans and a dirty sweatshirt from work and didnt look like i was buying anything, I finally get somebody to help me and I tell him I want to upgrade my wifes phone and the guy rudely says the free phones are over there go look at those and
    I will be back in a minute while i go help another customer. I turn around and there is a man in a nice shirt and pair of slacks and the salesmen went over before one of the other 3 or 4 salesman could beat him to the guy and he started helping him. Lesson learned forget Verizon wireless store i know i looked pretty poor after work but come on treat me with the same
    respect i treat you. So i go out to my truck and call up car toys where we upgraded our phones last time and ask if they have the note2 and the guy says no , but we can order it. I
    ask how much and he says $150.00. I say shocked you have the NOTE2 he says yes. I say did you just say $150.00. He says yes. I say thats $150.00 less then Verizon. He says i
    have been hearing that a lot. So i go down to the car toys and order the phone and it should be here today or tomorrow being it was in there warehouse 40 miles away. Anyway
    I hope this phone is as good as it looks and long story here is by some guy being rude he cost himself money.

    Verizon is always priced way higher on their phones than anyone else. Saving $150 is not uncommon. I discovered this from a mistake like you. I will never buy from a VZW store again without checking elseware first

    I would have informed him that I make more in an hour than they do in a day. I don't let crap like that slide. I would have walked over to him while he was talking to that other person.

    I thought all Verizon corporate stores now have the "check in" system so people are taken care of in the order they come into the store?

    When I first got this phone, I thought "man, this phone is huge" but now after owning it for almost 3 weeks, when I look at it I feel like it is the perfect size. Other phones look positively minuscule by comparison.

    Yeah I am working on being a little calmer and more polite for my kids. As I get older I realize that my temper has got me into quite a few unnecessary confrontations. I just figured walk away and take my business elsewhere. I did go to a main verizon store and I guess its corporate but didnt check me in unless it was done and i didnt notice, either way bad service and
    hopefully it was a isolated incident because people dont need rude people in there lives. Yeah im sure the note 2 will drop after Christmas due to the slow down that happens about a week after. I will update my wifes experience with the note 2 after she opens it on monday night. After what jseah said about size i think it might be the phone for me. Maybe i will get a wallet style case for it and ditch my wallet and just sport the phone lol.

    I went into a Chevrolet dealership looking a mess, after being ignored, acknowledged, and ignored again I went to a competing dealership and bought a brand new red corvette convertible.

    When I worked at Hechinger back in the 90s the owner would sometimes show up to some of his stores in his usual overalls and flannel shirt. If an employee did not treat him with the same service as anyone else he would go to the front, speak to the manager and escort the manager to the employee and make sure the manager fired the employee on the spot.

    Hell yes!!!

    Now that's how you keep your house in order!!!!!

    I'm the customer service manager for my company and I've always know where my bread is buttered. All my customers are treated well (even the jerky ones)

    Mercenary,
    I hate stereotyping people like that. I used to be in car sales before the economy took a turn for the worse in 2009 and some of my best clients were the people that looked like they lived on the streets and couldn't afford a cheeseburger from the dollar menu somewhere let alone a 20 to 60 thousand dollar vehicle. You would be surprised the people looked like they were broke and living on the streets that I had come in and pay cash for a $40K truck or some other vehicle. Then theirs the people that come in looking like they could buy the world and it turns out that they couldn't get approved for a loan if their life depended on it. You know what they say happens when you assume. You make an A** out of U & Me. Anyways sorry to digress and I hope you all are enjoying the note 2's
