I read about this today and think it's GREAT news. I didn't want to stand in a long line with my fingers crossed like some OTHER people did yesterday, and I didn't want to have a mail-in rebate (those always suck). So I called Best Buy today and they said I had to come in to do the pre order. So I stopped on my way home from work, hoping the list wouldn't be TOO long. I walked into Best Buy at 3:00 and bought my $50 gift card to get my name on the list. The funny thing is, they started a new page for my name....or so I thought....what really happened was that I was the FIRST person to pre order one from that store! I found that pretty amazing! Oh well, at least I know I'll get one on launch day and won't have to wait in some long a** line.....

Just based on the interest in this phone I think Verizon and Motorola have another winner on their hands.

i don't see how anyone could choose the Evo 4G over the Droid X... unless you need that front-facing camera., or are in a 4g area..

Saw the info on the pre-order and went to Best Buy to order.

Droid X for $149 after no rebate and NE2 discount? YES PLEASE!

I was also the first in my store in Houston. Good for me, but I don't think people know about it so our pre-order numbers are going to look weak.

    Spread the word you guys!

I won't be buying from Best Buy since so many members had complaints against their customer service/return policy.
