After losing the majority of their patent infringement lawsuit against Google, Oracle has made the decision to cut their losses and accept $0 damages from Google. Oracle could have sought damages for the small infringements that Google was found guilty of, but instead they plan to take their case to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. If the appeal is successful both parties could find themselves in front of Judge Alsup once again. We'll let you know how the appeal goes as soon as the information is available.

As cited elsewhere, considering the judge's knowledge, I doubt anything gets overturned on appeal.
