Optical button uses

Does anyone know what the uses are for the optical button on the incredible other than the camera button?

Its also a cursor control like a mouse, not a great one but it does move it.

I think they need to use it as a Home/Undo button the way Apple does. I know I know Apple is a five letter word. I'm just sayin'.

That's a lot more accurate for me than trying to get my fat finger to go in between words about half way up when I notice if and not of is there. Thanks.
Its also much more accurate for deleting only parts of a quote vs trying to get it right with my finger. Press/ hold world the same way as press/ hold text box and its easier to cut out what I want
