I may be wrong but if you still have the superuser icon but it doesn't work then something is effed. If you unrooted properly then the icon shouldn't be there. Why did you root someone elses phone if they didn't want it rooted? Lol

they wanted it rooted but when i explained to them the consequences of it later on they got upset asked me to unroot. I then found out that the phone didn't root it just put the icon there. So what i was thinking was rooting then flashing stock without the superuser app.

Also im not here to be lectured on why i shouldnt have rooted her phone, im just looking for an answer

maybe try just uninstalling it from settings.

or just use z4root to unroot

Well if you don't want opinions id recommend using the search function because trust me there are plenty of threads asking the same thing. Easiest way is to sbf the latest stock verizon update

I googled it once when I got paranoid. There is a command u can type in terminalimulator that gets rid of the icon. Then u would have to unroot and I beloved do a factory reset for a full wipe. I could be wrong about the last part. Google is your friend to find things out
