on 2.2.1 best way to liberty gb?

just got a Droid x, it is on 2.2.1 I want to get to GB and liberty. what will be the best way? Root now, then upgrade to GB, upgrade to GB then root? just wondering, any help will be greatly appreciated! Or is this GB on X? needin some help

Are you 2.2.1 unrooted or rooted? Either way the best method from 2.2.1 is to take the most recent OTA and then root that.

Ha. Just realized I forgot to remove the part where I was asking whether or not you were rooted. Realized what I was doing then forgot to correct myself, I work too much.

Anyway, that is real strange. There is also an SBF you could use for the phone to get you on GB. IT is not the latest one but the newest really only has a keyboard and some other small fixes in it.

Im sbf'ing 602 right know, is this the right one? I read sbf 602 then droid 3 1 click?
Also which liberty do i use? Gb or 3?

Did it disconnect or something? Sorry to say I am bad with trouble shooting when it comes to SBF so I do not know how helpful I can be in this situation.

Downloaded 602 from new link and sbf no prob... Is this the right one to get lib 3? Also i use d2 bootstrap right?

Yes D2 works best. And as far as I know you want to use the link posted above for Liberty 3 for the most current.
