    Anything new?

Why would Verizon hold back a faster rom?

First part: we don't know what's different yet.

Second part: it's too new to have gone through VZW's testing & VZW was satisfied with FRG01B.

This is for rooted users, correct?
    Any themes work with it?

Well I hope that Pete, CVPCS, Jrummy, Chevy, Insanenemesis, Cyanogen, and every other rom builder will get on this update!

Well, you don't technically have to be rooted. You just need a custom recovery, which you probably wouldn't have unless you were rooted.

Some of the themes for the FRG01B release might work, but the only way to find out this soon before the devs look at it is to test it (after a nandroid backup of course!).

Don't worry..am rooted and am always testing ROM's and themes. I have at least 1 backup of each latest ROM (and a theme of my liking). :)

    Installing now...

The following is a post from Cell Zealot at MDW. He is the original source of the leak:

Just ran a linpack and quadrant test with P3 lv1.1ghz kernel set to min/max performance... ran each 3x

    Best linpack:17.402
    Best quadrant: 1428

Does seem a little snappier than FRG01b

    Wow...installed w/o a hitch! I didn't do a full wipe; only wiped cache partition.

This seems to be quite fast and EXTREMELY responsive and smoother with the stock oc kernel! I think it is faster than the official OTA including the newest ROm's out there!
