Pretty sure it was Maps, Flash and BusyBox...someone posted it a dozen or so pages back. If you weren't having any issues with any of that, then there really is no need to switch it up.

    Thought I'd throw some screens:

So I had done the partitioning recommended with Ultimate Droid 10 to enable droid swap..will this effect/degrade froyo/ is droid swap now obsolete? Will it get overwritten or should reformatting my SD take care of it all.

Just saw .1 in the ROM manager. Can't wait for it to be more "stable"!

    You don't extract...

Are you rooted? Are you running Froyo? If yes and yes, follow the instructions below. If not, search one of the 9,001 posts on how to root...and read it all about 8 times before attempting!

If you are coming from a previous Froyo build, you may not need to wipe...but to be safe I always suggest wiping several times. Steps 4-5.

    01) Open ROM Manager
    02) Select Backup Current ROM
    03) Place the FRF57V01.zip on your sdcard.
    04) Open ROM Manager
    05) Select Reboot into Recovery
    06) Select "Partitions Menu"
    07) Select each of the following 3 times each: System, Boot, Data, Cache
    08) Press the lock button to go back to the ClockWork main menu.
    09) Select Install ROM from sdcard
    10) Navigate to the zip file on your sdcard
    11) Press the lock button to go back to ClockWork Main menu.
    12) Select "Reboot Phone Now"
    13) Don't post the same question three times in the same thread...or any thread for that matter.

Do the same for the kernel...place the kernel of your choice on the sdcard and then follow steps 7-8 above...After the ROM is installed and you are installing the Kernel, DO NOT wipe! No need to backup either.

Isn't factory\wipe the same thing? And is wiping boot safe? Rookie to clockwork here, but I do believe doing this solely in recovery is the best thing.

I originally did my recovery in SPR.

I have partitioning left over from Ultimate Droid 10 and Swap Droid. Is this obsolete in froyo or should a reformat of my SD get rid of it? ANYONE who knows the answer please respond..this is the only question keeping me from putting froyo on.

I honestly don't know...this is just how I have always switched ROM's (I read it in one of the guides when I first rooted and loaded my first ROM) and it has worked well for me.

Everything he said is exactly right and should be followed to the T if you don't want to have the problems people fill this thread with. Clockwork is a far superior recovery to sp and I have never had one issue with any of petes roms following these exact steps.
